Valve’s Steam, first introduced in 2003 as a means of delivering game updates to the publisher, is now one of the largest and perhaps most popular digital game distribution services in the world.
Steam has a wide variety of games from different genres, price ranges and platforms, and with such a library of games (with many free games), people tend to make multiple purchases in a given period of time.
If you want to keep track of the number of games you buy from Steam and the amount the company has reserved for you, here are instructions on how to view your recent transactions and the full history of your Steam purchases through the website or the customer. To view the latest transactions in Steam or a complete purchase history, log into your store.steampowered.com account or Steam client on your computer and follow the instructions below.
Step one: Click on the profile name or image at the top right of the page; select Account Details from the drop-down list. On your account page, click the Show purchase history option in the Store and purchase history section.
Step two: On the next page you will see the latest transactions at the top and you can scroll down to view the full purchase history.

You can only get a refund for steam games purchased in the last 14 days and played for less than two hours. Playtime includes the use of the online, offline or shared library. Although these are general rules that to a certain extent guarantee a refund, Valve indicates that you can also claim a refund if you do not adhere to these parameters.
To get your money back by playing Steam, follow the steps described in the guide above, or go to help.steampowered.com (log into your account on their website first) and then follow the steps below.
Step one: From your recent transactions (see step 2 above), click on the game you wish to return to. Then click on the option I want a refund on the game page.
Step two: On the next page, choose ‘I want to request a refund’.
Step three: Then fill in the required information, including where you want to be reimbursed (bank account or steamship portfolio) and the reason why you are applying for a reimbursement. When you’re done, click the Submit Requests button below.
Once you have completed the process and Valve has improved it, it can take up to seven days for the return to be in your bank account.
If you request a refund within 24 hours of purchasing the game, it is unlikely to appear on your account statement, as in this case the original transaction will be cancelled. In addition, it may take up to 10 days for the cancelled payment amount to be refunded to your bank account.
