I’m not really sure what to say about this one, except that the future of the gaming industry may hold many surprises for us. That’s because there are plenty of other rumored features that could be included in the next-gen consoles. Take, for example, CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077, the highly-anticipated game that’s slated for release on Microsoft’s Xbox One and Sony’s PlayStation 4. While CD Projekt Red has confirmed that the game will be released for both consoles, the game’s developer has also suggested that the game may come to other platforms

We all know that due to the worldwide epidemic, several major 2021 titles have been pushed back to 2022, and gamers are becoming restless.
The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, on the other hand, are expected to be released later this year, according to CD Projekt Red, a Polish game developer.
With that stated, the company acknowledged that, although the intention is to deliver the aforementioned titles this year, they cannot promise it.
CD Project Red is aiming for a 2021 release date.
Cyberpunk 2077’s goal timeframe for next-gen consoles is late 2021, according to CD Projekt Red’s recent earnings report.
In the case of The Witcher, the Polish studio provided the same date, as well as the same explanation that this is a goal rather than a firm date.
This is the wiggle space we discussed at the start of this essay. According to Michal Nowakowski, the game developer’s business manager, Cyberpunk 2077’s next edition may be delayed until 2022.
The next-generation edition of Cyberpunk 2077 is expected to be released later this year. At the same time, given the lessons gained over the last year and the fact that this project is still in development, we cannot guarantee that the production timeline will not alter.
Saber Interactive is working on a next-generation console version of The Witcher 3 that will be released in 2021. Before you get too enthusiastic, keep in mind that, like Cyberpunk 2077, this game may be delayed until 2022.
It would be fantastic if this game could be optimized for Xbox One X/S and PlayStation 5 since, despite the fact that it was released in May of 2015, it is a timeless classic.
Keep in mind that anybody who has previously bought Cyberpunk 2077 or The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will get both games for free.
We plan to release Cyberpunk 2077 in late 2021, like we did with Cyberpunk 2077. Similarly, the development process is continuous, and we cannot guarantee that the release timetable will not alter. But, for the time being, we’re shooting for late 2021 with both games, and I don’t want to be more precise at this point.
The projected PS5/Xbox Series X|S version of Cyberpunk 2077 will take use of those systems’ extra horsepower to improve the game’s appearance and performance.
The same can be said for The Witcher 3, which will include all previously published expansions as well as new content based on Netflix’s popular Witcher TV program.
All we can do now is cross our fingers and hope that game developers have worked hard and long enough to guarantee that these fantastic games arrive on time for the next platforms.
