Step one:  Click the Start menu in the lower left corner of the toolbar; then click Control Panel.

Step two:  In the Control Panel window, first change the view options for the folders in a category, then select System and Security.

You can also view the specifications of your computer’s peripherals by clicking on Hardware and Sound in Control Panel. This option allows you to install and configure new hardware connected to your computer.

Step three:  Then click on the System option.

You can also access this page by right-clicking the Computer button in the Start menu and selecting Properties from the shortcut menu.

Method 2: dxdiag

Press Windows+R to open a command prompt, then type dxdiag in the box and click OK to run the command.

This prompt takes you to the DirectX diagnostic window. The System tab displays the current DirectX version, drivers, computer hostname, operating system version, memory, BIOS information, and other data.

The Dxdiag tool also allows you to see the internal and general graphics card on your computer, which can be part of the useful information when loading games.

This tool is called DirectX Diagnostics. Troubleshoot and identify problems with audio, display, video, and other multimedia applications and features, especially if you use advanced games on your computer. You can also use this tool to find problems when using audio and video players on a Windows 7 computer.
