If you have a rooted device and a flashed TWRP recovery, you can install any custom ROM, modules, kernels, Xposed, etc, as well as many applications that require access with superuser privileges to function properly. You can easily power your device with the One Click Android Root Tool, either via PC or APK, which is a quick process.

TWRP (Team Win Recovery Project) is an open source community development project. Flashing TWRP allows you to install any firmware on your device, boot your smartphone, modify zip files for settings, Xposed modules for settings, root and uproot with one click. You can also make a full backup of Nandroid and restore it later, flash the image file with one click, remove bloatware, overclock and underclock. With TWRP, you can easily erase, cache and clear data after flashing an image file to reflect changes and correct minor errors caused by caching.

To install TWRP, your Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom phone must have an unlocked bootloader. This means that you first need to unlock the bootloader to root the device, and also perform a configuration.

Steps to unlock the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom bootloader (vangogh)

Message: If you already have the bootloader unlocked, you can skip these steps.

Since the Xiaomi Mi, Redmi and Poco phones are pre-installed with MIUI, they use the same process to unlock the bootloader as on Xiaomi smartphones. Since its inception, Xiaomi has given its users the ability to play with their phone, as Xiaomi has not restricted its use to unlock the bootloader.

Step one: Add the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom to the Mi account registered on your phone. After that, make sure you make a full backup of your phone, because unlocking the bootloader will erase all data on the smartphone.

ALWAYS read how to transform your Xiaomi Mi 5x (Mi A1) and install TWRP Recovery.

Step two: Go to the MIUI Download MiUnlock site, after visiting, download the Mi Unlock application to your PC. Launch the Mi unlocking software and sign in with your Mi account/ID. Make sure you register an account with the correct information. If it’s already registered, which is often the case because you’re a Mi user, that’s fine.

Step three: Now go to your smartphone settings, then log into the Mi account and wait at least 7 days. If you have been logged in for at least 7 days, you can skip this step.

Step four: Go to Settings > Mi Account > Mi Cloud and enable device sync and search. We recommend that you synchronize all data in the application at least once.

Step 5: Now enable developer options, go to Settings > About phone > and tap at least 7-8 times on the MIUI version until it says you are now a developer.

Step six: Now open Developer Options, and go to Settings > Advanced Options > Developer Options. In the Developer Options interface, enable OEM unlocking and USB debugging.

Seventh step: Connect the device to an active internet connection with the same number used in the Mi account. Then go to Mi unlock status (under Developers) and then go to Mi account link. Now boot the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom in fastboot mode. Hold down the Volume Down button and the Power button, then release all buttons when the Robot Mee Rabbit image appears on the screen.

Step 8: Now make sure your device is connected to an active internet connection. Now open the Mi Unlock tool and log in with the same Mi account you used for the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom. It will detect your phone when it displays your device, just click Unlock Now. This will unlock the bootloader of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom smartphone and erase all the data on the smartphone.

Message: If the Mi unlock tool stops at 99%, don’t panic and try again in the next few days using the same method. Hopefully, the bootloader of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom will be unlocked this time.

You can now root the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom because the bootloader of your device is already unlocked.

Steps to flash/install TWRP recovery 3.5.0-0 on Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom (vangogh)

Step one: Let’s assume that you have already downloaded the Android SDK platform tools (SDK Manager) on your PC. The platform tools include the necessary ADB binaries and quick downloads.

Step two: Make sure the drivers are installed on your computer. Then proceed to the next step.

Message: If USB development and debugging settings are already enabled on your device, as suggested in the Benefits section, skip steps 3 and 4 and follow step 5 directly.

Step three: Now activate the developer settings on your Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom device. To do this, go to Settings -> About and find the build number, then click on the build number 7 times, which will activate the developer settings on your device.

Step four: If you already have USB debugging, you can skip this step. If not, open the developer settings and enable the USB debugging option.

Step 5: Now open a command prompt on the ADB computer/terminal and just type the command :

Reset advertising

Step six: The device must not be put into the quick start mode. Now copy the TWRP.img file downloaded in the required section to the same folder where the ADB and rapidboot binaries are located. Rename the file to twrp.img and enter this command:

Quick start Flash recovery twrp.img

then run this command, enter :

quick restart

Seventh step: This step is optional; Flash shares vbmeta with the :

fastboot –disable-verity –disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img

Step 8: Make sure you browse the same directory as the TWRP image file and the ADB/Fastboot executables, and enter this command:

fast flash recovery twrp-3.x.x-yvangogh-Ymmdd.img

x, y and YYmmdd denote the flashable versions of TWRP, i.e. 3.3.1 or 3.3.0, etc.

Step 9: (Important): On some devices, custom recovery may not be automatically replaced on first boot. You can search for a Google shortcut to put the device into recovery mode. After executing the quick restart command, hold down the appropriate key combination to enter TWRP mode. Once the device is booted into TWRP mode, TWRP automatically corrects the stock ROM to prevent TWRP from being overwritten by the stock restore.

After entering the fast restart command, hold down the combination key and start in TWRP. Once TWRP is loaded, TWRP will patch the ROM to prevent TWRP from replacing the ROM. If you do not perform this step, you will need to restart the installation. However, you should be aware that it may be necessary to reflash vbmeta with verity disabled to successfully load the ROM.

Procedure for rooting Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom (vangogh)/Installing Magisk or SuperSU

Make sure you have downloaded SuperSU or Magisk Manager (link in the required section of this article). Then continue with the next steps.

Warning: You can use Magisk Manager or Super SU, but only one, so choose wisely. Go to Magisk Manager if you are not sure.

Step one: Move the downloaded SuperSU or Magisk Manager file to the internal memory/SD card of your Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom smartphone.

Step two: Just get started on the recovery. You can also make a ROM backup via the TWRP interface. However, I recommend that you make a backup copy of the ROM. Because if the process fails, you can flash the ROM.

Step three: Press Install, then navigate to the SuperSU.zip or magisk.zip file and drag the firmware confirmation file (located at the bottom of the screen). The Magisk/SuperSU flash process has started and will take a few seconds.

Congratulations, you are now rooted in the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom and you can also flash TWRP. Now you can install Xposed Framework and customize your smartphone as you like. If you want to check it, you can download and check the root status through the Root Checker application.
