Condensation dryers
The condensation dryer works by condensing extremely hot air. If this is done with wet clothing, the moisture is removed from the garment.
The condensed air (now hot and humid) is converted into water, which is then transported to an internal tank. The reservoir overflows and must be emptied regularly to maintain the efficiency of the condensation dryer.

The condensation dryer can be installed almost anywhere. Unlike some other types of dryers it does not need to be mounted on the outside wall.
With some other types of dehumidifiers the pipe must run through the outer wall, but this is not necessary with a condensation dryer.
Moreover, there is no permanent problem of moisture accumulation in small living rooms or rooms without windows. This type of model is therefore suitable for rooms with low airflow or low ventilation capacity (this will be more useful when other types of dryers are explained later in this article).
Energy efficiency and time
Condensation dehumidifiers are sufficiently energy efficient.
However, they are not as efficient as heat pump dryers.

Ventilated dryers
A ventilated dryer is perhaps the modern drum dryer that is widely used nowadays.
The clothes are dried by sucking in air from the room where the dryer is located, after which the air is heated and circulated around the fast rotating drum. Warm air evaporates moisture as it moves inside the drum.
The hose connects the dryer to the outside via the outside wall or window. The dryer releases the collected air with the moisture (instead of taking the moisture out of the air and reusing it). It then continuously sucks more air out of the chamber and repeats the process.
Restrictions for compressed air dryers
They are accessible and useful dryers. However, they suffer from several negative aspects.
They work best in large spaces where there is a lot of air. In order for the dryer to work, air has to be sucked in. In small laundries other types of dryers often work better for this reason.
Ventilated dryers also require an open window (a potential security risk as an access point to the house) or an opening through the exterior wall to allow moist air into the dryer after use. Ventilated models cannot operate without this function.
Why use a ventilated dryer?
They’re cheaper than other types of dryers.
The pipe connected on the outside displaces steam, not water, through the hot evaporation process. Although this can be unpleasant, a higher thermal load on dry clothing is quicker for you.
Heat pump dryer
Using a heat pump dryer, the pump generates warm air that is used to absorb moisture from the clothing. The air leaves the drum via the evaporator, which removes the moisture from the drum.
The collected condensate is stored in a separate tank. The dry air is then heated and returned to the dryer to further dry the laundry.
Better protection for clothing
When a heat pump dryer is used, the heat level is significantly reduced compared to other methods.
The low heat compensates for the longer drying time, but also protects the fabric during drying, so there is no need to wear clothing such as underwear or other more delicate items.
Cleaning and replacement of filters
In systems equipped with heat pumps, the reservoir must be cleaned to ensure that it remains effective.
The filter system is also very important. Filters should be replaced as often as required by the manufacturer to maintain the operation of the dryer.
Difference in time and costs for operations
Drying clothes with a heat pump takes longer than with other drying methods such as capacitors. An average of 5 extra minutes are needed for a load of 1 kg.
However, about half of the energy is needed, making the operation of heat pump dryers more cost-effective and environmentally friendly.
